Solicitor (Admitted in Australia)

Nicholas Robison was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in December 2004, and admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia in February 2006. He has worked in the profession since 2002, and as a result has gained over six years’ experience in a wide range of commercial advisory and litigious matters, including having appeared as solicitor-advocate in the appellate jurisdiction of the High Court of Australia (the Australian equivalent of the House of Lords).
He has regularly advised both employees and employers on a variety of issues relating to the Employment Act 2002 (as well as the equivalent work-place/industrial relations legislation in Australia) and has particular experience in a variety of large and small-scale building and construction disputes, having acted extensively in Australia and the UK for both contractors and consumers alike. Nicholas also has an enviable record in Trading Standards related matters and, before moving to the UK, was involved in both the HIH Royal Commission and the Australian Securities Investments Commissions’ investigation into the 2002 corporate collapse of One.Tel Limited, both of which rank among Australia’s most high profile corporate governance litigation.
